Picks of the Week

I don't know about you, but when I was planning my wedding, I had a basic idea of what kind of dress I wanted...or so I thought. The more I saw, the more I wanted to have like five wedding dresses. OK, five is a bit much, but it was still helpful to browse through gowns of all shapes and sizes. Why you ask? Well, what I thought was pretty, wasn't actually pretty on me. Go figure, right?

Still, it helped the consultants at the bridal salons when I went in get an idea of what my style was. So instead of being thrown into 50+ wedding dresses, they selected the few that resemebled similar characteristics of what photos I brought with me.

So, here are CJ's favorite picks of the week from Bridal Connection to get the juices flowing. :) Enjoy!

The Quarry Golf Club Wedding Showcase

Uniting Love Birdies

Calling all brides! The Quarry Golf Club is inviting you to their winter wedding showcase "Uniting Love Birdies". This will mark the first of the 2012 four-part series of wedding showcases. Some highlights of this event (just to name a few) include exotic drinks, creative menu offerings, romantic music, unique bachelorette ideas and candid photography...sounds like a fun evening if you ask me!

Here's just a taste of the delightful vendors that will attend.

Vino Van Gogh: an artisitic bachelorette party idea. Sip, paint and have fun. Guests can even sign up to do FREE paintings and will be able to take them home.

The Quarry Golf Club's own award-winning food and beverage team. Head Chef Frederick Jones, a San Antonio-native, has been leading the team for nearly two decades. Chef Frederick has successfully catered more than 5,000 events at the Quarry. The San Antonio Restaurant Association has recognized Chef Frederick as one of the city's finest chefs.
