San Antonio Weddings and The Wedding Lady would like to welcome one of our newest clients Lisa Morales of Haute Weddings.
Here's a little insight to the mastermind behind the curtain.

1. How did you start out?
I actually started by helping a friend with her wedding planning business. It really gave me an opportunity to learn the business from the ground up. At first, I was responsible for all the "behind the scenes" tasks and helping build her business, but then I tried my hand at actually coordinating and working the weddings. It was hard work but the sense of accomplishment I felt is beyond description. I found I had a real knack for being organized and methodical, yet creative. Analytical, but open-minded. Kind of a right-brain, left-brain person. After that I was hooked. I became certified through the Association of Bridal Consultants and I continue to learn all I can, everyday. I have helped plan small, intimate weddings with 50 guests and large weddings of 750 guests. I have coordinated weddings, indoor and out, in 102 degree weather (ceremony and reception outside, mind you), in drizzle and in rain. (none in snow yet!) And I loved each one.
2. What services do you offer?
Haute Weddings is a little different than most companies in the industry as we offer just about everything. Haute Weddings takes the time to consult with you, really listen to your preferences, wants and needs and guide you in the right direction. We offer individual services as well as coordinating and custom service packages. Consultations are free and last about 45 minutes. You will leave with a sigh of relief, knowing where to begin the wedding planning process and checking some items off your "get it done" list.

3. What is your approach to a wedding/event?
Our approach to a wedding/event is to really listen to a couple and help them make their dream come true. I know that sounds cheesy, but it is true. We help guide them along the planning process so they can make informed decisions. The feedback we offer from our education and experience saves them time and money. They often don't know where to start or they have already gotten started, but then became overwhelmed. We ask questions, we sit and listen, we offer suggestions and all of a sudden, it seems as if there IS a method to the madness. We make it fun and exciting again.
4. What’s the inspiration behind your work?
The inspiration behind the work is - Service. A lot of people ask me if I have any "bridezillas," I always chuckle, because I honestly don't. I've had people tell me the reason I don't is because I truly Service my clients. I am open and honest with them, I pride myself in always answering their calls and/or getting back to them asap, responding immediately to texts and emails. I always try "to get it done" and "make it happen." I want to take care of any potential problems before they arise. I love it when I couple thinks of something and I am able to respond, "It's already taken care of." I want them to look back on their experience with Haute Weddings and feel nothing but happiness. To have loved the ride as much as I did.
5. What is the best part of your job?
I love meeting with couples and their families. I always feel honored to be asked to help them plan their wedding. Every day I get to be with people who are happy, full of joy and over their heels in love. It's a great feeling to be a part of that. Yes, I am going on 25 years of marriage myself and I am still a hopeless romantic. :) I love the look a bride and groom give eachother as they describe their big day. I love the smile on a bride's face when she finds THE dress. I love the silent, dum dum dum, when I bring up the word: budget, and I love the deflated sigh when I tell a couple that I can work with it.I love the beginning, when a couple visits with me and their happy and overwhelmed, stressed out, but excited to get started, ALL at the same time, and I love how at the end of our journey I am just as thankful that we met as they are. :)
