If you're looking for a fun, different alternative to the typical bridal shower or bachelorette party (or in our case a bonding experience for the San Antonio Weddings' team,) then Vino van Gogh is the place to be.

Joy, the instructor of Vino van Gogh, was so sweet to teach us to paint van Gogh's Starry Night. It wasn't easy that's for sure, but she did a great job, and our pieces came out to be pretty darn cute. It was great because we all got to draw it out ourselves. No pre-set outlines to follow--we were the artist. And it was a nice challenge.

You can bring your own food and drink (yes, even alcoholic beverages) and have a truly fun experience for yourself and a few friends. Kudos to LH and our wonderful driver who picked us all up so we didn't have to drive. And mostly, thank you Joy for the fun evening. We'll be back!

Wedding Dress Wednesday

Picks of the Week

I don't know about you, but when I was planning my wedding, I had a basic idea of what kind of dress I wanted...or so I thought. The more I saw, the more I wanted to have like five wedding dresses. OK, five is a bit much, but it was still helpful to browse through gowns of all shapes and sizes. Why you ask? Well, what I thought was pretty, wasn't actually pretty on me. Go figure, right?

Still, it helped the consultants at the bridal salons when I went in get an idea of what my style was. So instead of being thrown into 50+ wedding dresses, they selected the few that resemebled similar characteristics of what photos I brought with me.
